This album consists of twelve recorded pieces of primarily improvised solo acoustic guitar, rich with errors, disappointments and moments of mild ecstasy. The recordings from 2008 are named after varieties of beetles and were semi-composed, in that they were improvised around pre-developed motifs. The "Thoughts" are purely improvised pieces from 2011, and were recorded with no preparation or forethought. Some editing has been done to make the end result of all this somewhat more coherent.

All music in this album is meant to be heard as ambient/background sound, and is not intended specifically for dancing, commuting, acts of religious devotion, lovemaking, computer programming or drunkenness, although you are welcome to perform these or any other acts to the accompaniment of these recordings, according to your personal preference.
